Hazel Griffith, Associate Attorney

(she/her)

I practice family law because I understand how overwhelming relationship conflicts can be—and I’m committed to providing both legal expertise and compassionate support to individuals and families navigating these challenges. My practice includes litigation, mediation, and mediation consultation, and I take pride in partnering closely with clients to provide zealous advocacy and practical, solution-oriented guidance.

Whether litigating in court or facilitating mediation, I take the time to understand what matters most to each client. My goal is always to help clients reach resolutions that serve their long-term well-being and the best interests of their families. In litigation, I represent clients in all aspects of family law, including divorce, custody and visitation, child and spousal support, domestic violence, and property division. I work diligently to protect my clients’ rights while striving for common-sense solutions that promote stability and healing.

In my mediation practice, I serve as a neutral third party, working with both sides to craft creative, tailored solutions that avoid the need for litigation. I believe that when parties have a hand in shaping their agreements—rather than having them imposed by a judge—those agreements are more likely to be honored and more satisfying for everyone involved.

I enjoy helping people through some of life’s most difficult transitions and am honored to serve as a strong, compassionate advocate during these times.

I am an active member of the Family Law Sections of the California Lawyers Association, the Alameda County Bar Association, the Contra Costa County Bar Association, and the San Francisco Bar Association. I also serve on the Family Law Executive Committee and the Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee of the Alameda County Bar Association, am a member of the Alameda County Family Law Association, and sit on the board of directors for All for the Family Legal Clinic, Inc., a nonprofit legal services organization.

Born and raised in the Bay Area, I am proud to work with families in the community where I grew up.
